Buying on the Costa Brava

Stretching from the French border to the coastal town of Blanes, the Costa Brava (the 'wild coast') owes its name to its rugged landscapes, which hide beautiful coves along some 160 km of coastline, starting at Portbou on the French border.

Coves with crystal-clear water, sandy beaches like the Bay of Roses, and hidden inlets between maritime pines and rock: so close to France, this destination still feels a world away. The Costa Brava is easy to reach via Girona airport and the AP-7 motorway from France, and Barcelona is only about a hundred kilometres away when you want to enjoy the treasures of the Catalan capital.

Its quality of life, climate and stunning beauty make it a favourite place to buy a house or flat in the Spanish sun.

Our town guides: Roses and Empuriabrava, Palamós, Cadaqués, Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Blanes.
